Soccer teams, neighborhood associations, book clubs...like-minded people tend to gather together. Sojourn Community Groups are safe places for adults and children to journey in the hope of Christ together and be transformed by the gospel through discussion, Bible study and fellowship. Groups meet at various times on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings as well as Sunday mornings throughout Louisville and southern Indiana. Find a group near you!
Community Group Leadership
Step into leadership at Sojourn! We are looking for people interested in becoming Community Group leaders. Fill out a leadership application online or pick them up at the Community Group table on Sundays. Email groups@sojournchurch.com for more info.
Why Community Groups?
Growing Together- Spiritual growth, accountability, and soul care can occur organically as members learn together how to love the Lord and one’s neighbors as oneself.
Being the Church- At Sojourn, groups are not only the primary entry point for community, but truly represent the church at a personal level. Therefore, belonging to a Community Group is the way to truly be a part of Sojourn.
Loving Louisville- Community Groups also serve as a means of reaching others for Christ, recognizing that seeing the gospel lived out in a caring community serves as a powerful testimony to the radical love of God.
What’s the Bottom Line?
“God’s work of change has relationships both as the necessary means and a wonderful goal. Humble community is not the icing on the cake of Christianity. In a real way, it is the cake. These relationships of love are a means of personal growth, a mark of God’s people being purified, and a clear argument to the world for the truth of the gospel.”
