Responsibilities: I coordinate the Connecting Team, hospitality, and assimilation of new members.
Family: I’ve been married for almost two years to the wonderful Liz Woodall Richards from Barnesville, GA. I still can’t believe she agreed to marry me. My great and supportive family is back in Alabama, and Liz’s is in Georgia.
Hometown: Trussville, AL (Birmingham)
Education & Experience: B.S. Economics from Auburn University. I’ve also worked in a suburban mega-church, a small church plant and commercial construction sales. Currently pursuing an MDiv at Southern Seminary
Vision for your position: Service should inevitably become a part of your life's worship. I hope to work on equipping believers for Christ-motivated and gospel-centered service by getting them prepared, connected, trained and released for ministry both inside and outside of Sojourn.
What brought you to Sojourn?: I read an article about Sojourn in 2003, three years before we even decided to move to Louisville.
Favorite movie/ TV show: I watch the news, 24 and Jeopardy. That’s about it.
Favorite music/ band: U2, Kings of Leon, and most other stuff…
Favorite book other than the Bible: Anything by Cormac McCarthy is worth reading. Christ Our Righteousness by Mark Seifrid is incredible if you’re a theology nerd.
Hobbies/interests: I read a lot and pick at the guitar. I follow college football almost year-round.
