Vision for your position: We talk about living out the gospel in every part of our lives, and that includes our finances. I think people sometimes hold back in that one area. If we are truly living out the gospel with our finances, that can look really cool because we are giving sacrificially, not necessarily “just enough” or ten percent. We are giving out of our hearts and giving specifically where we see need. I think that living out the gospel in your finances can look a lot of different ways. For some people it could mean helping out a family financially with a specific need. Or it could look like just being faithful in giving ten percent. Pray for the finances of the church- that the Lord would continue to be faithful to provide for us so that we can continue to minister to others more effectively through our resources. Pray that we would be faithful stewards of what the Lord has given us.
What brought you to Sojourn?: When I moved to Louisville in 2004, Sojourn was one of the first churches I visited. It was the focus on the gospel and community that drew me to choose Sojourn as my church. One of the first Sundays I came, I met Hilary & Kyle Noltemeyer, who invited me to their community group.
