The requirements and descriptions of pastors are found most explicitly in the Bible in 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus. Elders lead the church in the ministry of prayer and the Word, teaching, caring for souls, and modeling godly leadership.

Deacons & Staff
Deacons are the lead servants in the community. Their work facilitates the ministry of the body and frees up the elders from the details to focus on study, teaching, counsel and prayer. We have several deacons on staff as well as dozens more serving in various ministries.

Interns
In addition, we have several interns that lend an invaluable hand to various ministries at Sojourn. More than mere "grunt work," we use internships as a tangible way to grow new leaders and prepare men and women to serve through mentoring and one on one development.
