As you feel led to call Sojourn your church home, joyful service will inevitably become a part of your life's worship. Everything we are and possess is a gift from God. That is why our musicians, ushers, children's ministry assistants and others donate talents and time as a response to the gift of grace that we've been given in Jesus. Consider the following questions:
- Am I using my time and talents to accomplish my personal ministry?
- Do I joyfully donate a portion of my time and talent back to God?
- Do I believe God has given me skills to be used according to his purpose?
- Am I willing to answer the call to ministry, even in the smallest of ways?
If you are unable to serve in this season of your life, please let us know how we may serve you. If you can serve and would like to know where you might fit best, contact Dave Richards [1].

Sojourn InternationalSojourn International [9] missions movement seeks to glorify God by recognizing that the world is bigger than the walls of this building. We partner with our international missionaries to live out the gospel in whatever capacity they ask of us. We do this by gifts of encouragement, constant communication with those partners, prayer, financial support and short-term trips to their respective countries.
Presently, Sojourn is involved in Southern Asia and Northeastern Africa. We are seeking people to handle some of the behind the scenes administrative tasks for our short-term trips. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, keeping track of paperwork, organizing financial support, research and basic organization of retreat and trip materials. We are also looking for three liaisons for our international partners. These people would be in charge of monthly care packages that would go out to our international partners reminding them of our support and love. This would take only a few hours a month. We are also looking for potential leaders for short-term trips. Typically, trips last no more than two weeks. In addition to the actual trip, leaders would meet with Jonathan Braden for training and planning. We are hoping to take at least two trips per year.
Contact Jonathan Braden [10]. Time requirements may vary and can be flexible depending on the task. -top [10]

SojournKidsSojournKids [11] exists to create a safe and loving environment for our children to communicate the gospel to each child and family at Sojourn. Our vision is to see our children's lives transformed by the gospel, and in turn see the gospel transforming their families, neighborhoods and schools. We believe children are good gifts from God and valuable members of the community (Psalm 127:3 [12], Matthew 19:14 [13]). Children, just like adults, are sinful and in need of the saving love of Christ (Romans 3:23 [14]; Romans 6:23 [15]). Children can grow in faith and learn to make wise choices (Luke 2:52 [16]; Proverbs 22:6 [17]). The church is to walk alongside the family in training children in godliness (Deuteronomy 6:4-9 [18]).
We are currently looking for workers to make a six-month commitment to serve during one Sunday service while attending another. We need teachers, classroom helpers, desk workers and substitute teachers. We need several individuals to work as part of a support team (cleaning, organizing, purchasing and administrative tasks). In order to serve with SojournKids, you must have a servant's heart and a love for children. Support team positions are open to all who are willing. To serve in a classroom position (as a teacher, classroom helper or desk worker), you must be a member. Classroom teachers should have prior experience working with children either as a parent or in a classroom.

Worship & Arts (Music)Worship & Arts [29] ministry seek to facilitate gospel-centered worship services with authenticity, creativity and diversity. We seek to read, sing, pray and speak the Scriptures to one another, and we seek to reflect the diversity of the body of Christ, who worships him as every tribe, tongue and nation, by fostering a range of styles, sounds and voices. Musicians of all types, as well as singers and songwriters, have many opportunities to serve.
Interested people must be capable and competent enough as a musician to learn songs very quickly, receive direction and criticism, and adapt your style to the needs of the songs or the service. Experience playing with bands is a plus, but not required. Musicians play at the morning and evening services 1-2 times a month. Practice is on Sundays at 7 a.m. and again at 3:45 p.m. depending on which services you play.
Contact Mike Cosper [30] or Jamie Barnes [31]. Musicians and singers will be asked to participate in an audition, and songwriters should submit samples of their songs on CD and in print. Songwriters are encouraged to participate in the monthly Songwriter's workshop, led by Bobby Gilles; contact him at music@sojournmusic.com [32]. -top [32]

Listening Room (Music venue)The 930 Listening Room [38], features two all-ages venues offering unique space for local and national touring bands to play. The ministry exists to further show our appreciation for music as an artistic expression and to recognize the God-given talents of those who create it. We believe one small way to make our city more beautiful is through the arts. We also seek to show top-notch hospitality to the artists and to our guests in attendance.
There are opportunities to serve in the Music Venue in many areas such as hospitality, street-team promotions, security, ushers, set-up and clean-up. Our specific needs vary from show to show. Some tasks occur before the show on your own time (i.e. promotions) while others will require you to attend the show, perhaps arriving early and staying late.
