Sojourn Kids

At Sojourn Kids, we want to show Jesus to your kids so they grow up to be like him and then go out to tell others about him.

In light of the COVID pandemic, we have postponed our normal Sojourn Kids programming for Sundays for Fall 2020. In its place, we will be hosting Family Worship Nights every 3rd Sunday (except 1st Sunday in December) 5:30-6:30PM in the auditorium at St. Vincents (1207 S. Shelby St - 40204). Join your kids as we wear masks as we worship Jesus with singing, dancing, activities, and teaching! You can register below, and we look forward to seeing you and your kids.

Kids are welcome to attend a Sunday service (9 or 11 am) with you and we have activities available for them near the nursery desk. You can also sign up for weekly devotionals to do as a family by emailing our Kid's Director (rgoff@sojournchurch.com). As we near 2021 we will continue to evaluate what is the best way to move forward in person with our family's safety at the forefront of our minds.

About our ministry

Your First Visit

Look for the area designated for first-time families. We’ll meet your family, check your child into our database system, and one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room. We’ll ask for your family’s contact information and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.

How Check-in Works

After your first visit, you may check in your child at any available station. After finding your family’s listing, you and your child will print matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and visit. After the service, you’ll return to your child’s classroom and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

The Ride Home

On your way out the door, be sure to pick up a Big Picture Card. It highlights the main point for today’s Bible story, gives you the memory verse and “Big Picture” question we’re memorizing with the kids during our Sunday classes. As you drive home, ask your child, “What did you learn about Jesus in today’s story?” It's our goal that every child can answer this question every week!

Nursing Mothers Room

A nursing mother’s room is available at the back of the balcony for mothers with babies twelve weeks old and under. An audio feed and private view of the service is available at every service time. This is a “Moms Only” room for women with newborn babies to view the service in a private and quiet environment.

Special Needs Ministry

Our desire is to welcome in every child with special needs – showing them Jesus, including them in activities with their peers, and creating a space where they experience belonging and growth in relationships. For children who need one-to-one care, we offer a Special Needs Buddy program. In this program, we work to pair your child with a loving, trained volunteer who will attend a typical Sojourn Kids classroom with them. The buddy builds a relationship with your child as they assist them in participating in classroom activities and interacting with their peers. To find out more, visit sojournkids.com/specialneeds.
