Printer Help
These instructions are for you if
- You've never used this printer before, or
- You've added the printer to your computer before, but not using the steps below, and it worked at first, but now you're having trouble.
Instructions
These are for Macs.
- Make sure you are connected to the Sojourn staff wifi network (not the "guest" network). A Sojourn staff member can give you the password.
- Look on the printer for the model. Google for that plus the word "driver." For example, "Ricoh IM C2500 driver."
- Find the result that comes directly from the Ricoh. It will probably be the first one.

On that page, choose your operating system. Download the driver.
- Let the installer download.
Open it and let it install itself.
- Open System Preferences.
Go to Printers & Scanners.
- Press the + button to add a new printer.
- In the new window that opens, in the toolbar, choose the globe icon.
- Type in this info:
- Address: choose based on your location:
- 10.1.0.102 - Meridian 1st floor
- 10.1.0.103 - Meridian 2nd floor
- 10.1.0.104 - Meridian 3rd floor
- 10.1.0.105 - Meridian 4th floor
- 10.1.0.107 - Meridian 5th floor
- 10.2.0.110 - St. V's
- Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
- Name: Put anything you want here. Only you will see this.
- Use: (Should default to your printer model.)
- Press the “Add” button. Your current window will close.
- Back in the window behind it titled "Printers & Scanners," select the printer you just added.
- Press the "Option & Supplies" button.
- Press the "Options" tab.
- Find the "PostScript" option. Choose "Adobe PostScript."
- Hit OK.
