What is VBS?
VBS stands for “Vacation Bible School.” It’s a four-evening summer event for kids that includes Bible lessons, crafts, games, music, and snacks.
Do my child or I need to attend your church to come?
Nope! This event is open to everyone! If your child is new, we’d love to welcome them and help them have a good time. This is a low-pressure, safe environment where kids are invited to relax and make new friends.
When are the pick-up and drop-off windows?
Kids can be dropped off between 5:50–6:00 PM each evening. We ask parents to come promptly at 8:30pm for pickup. If you need to pick up your child early, that’s fine, too.
Kids will be grouped by grade, they will move as a class to music, games, arts, and Bible Study.
Why is this event free?
We want to make sure all money doesn’t keep anyone away. We are, however, accepting donations when you register, if you’d like to help offset our costs.
What snacks are you serving? My child has allergies.
We usually serve Goldfish, bananas, and popcorn, but we have allergy-friendly alternatives we’ll be sure to serve your child. When you register, just tell us what allergies your child has.
My child can’t come every night. Can he just come some nights?
Definitely!
Who will be with my children?
Every class will have at least two adults who have completed background checks. They will have also been given a copy of Sojourn Midtown’s VBS child protection plan.
Who can pick up and drop off my child?
We encourage the same person to drop off your child each night. We do have a security protocol that will be asked about and followed through on during pick up.
